Half marathons in Florida, 2026-27

24 of the 34 courses list a net drop of zero: the start and finish are at the same elevation on the certificate. They are Regenexx St Pete Half Marathon (St Pete Run Fest), Space Coast Half Marathon, Thankful Turkey Half Marathon & 5K, OUC Orlando Half Marathon, Powerade Panama City Beach Marathon Half Marathon, Half Marathon at U.S. Polo Assn. Palm Beaches Marathon, Pensacola Beach Run Half Marathon, Town of Celebration Half Marathon, Life Time Miami Half Marathon (Life Time Miami Marathon and Half), All Day Running Co. Clearwater Marathon & Running Festival (Half-Marathon), USA Women's Half Marathon Islamorada, Best Damn Race Safety Harbor Half Marathon, St. Petersburg Half Marathon (Halfathon), SEASIDE SCHOOL™ Half Marathon + 5K, Publix Gasparilla Half Marathon, Wellen Park Half Marathon & 5k Race Presented by Hotwire Communications, Wellen Park Half Marathon & 5k Race Presented by Hotwire Communications, Best Damn Race Orlando Half Marathon, Life Time 305 Half Marathon & 5K presented by Baptist Health, AdventHealth Lake Minneola Half Marathon, Miami's Key Biscayne Half Marathon (KB Half Marathon), FTC Mary Andrews Marathon (13.1), Amelia Island Half Marathon and Tom Walker Half Marathon.

The biggest net drop on the list belongs to Tallahassee Half Marathon: up to 151 ft (46 m).

Net drop compares only the start and the finish. It says nothing about the hills in between, so a zero-drop course can still climb.

Some Florida half marathons are missing because their certificates have lapsed. On October 11, 2026 the database held no active half marathon certificate for these events; the newest one listed expired in the year shown: Florida Half Marathon, Melbourne (2025); Daytona Beach Half-Marathon, Daytona Beach (2024); Ft. Myers Half-Marathon, Ft. Myers (2025); Islamorada Half Marathon, Islamorada (2025); Subaru Distance Classic Half-Marathon, Jacksonville (2024); Paradise Coast Half Marathon, Naples (2025); 13.1 Ft. Lauderdale - FL, Ft. Lauderdale (2025); Marathon of the Treasure Coast Half Marathon, Jensen Beach (2025); Tomoka Half Marathon, Ormond Beach (2024). Ask the race whether the current course is certified.

USATF lists 113 active half marathon course certificates in Florida, covering 64 events. We list the races we could confirm, sorted by date, with each course's net drop from start to finish. The 10 certified events we could not tie to a current race are named at the end.

We started from the USATF course certification database: every course in Florida certified at the half marathon distance with an active status, searched on October 11, 2026. We grouped the 113 certificates into 64 events, then opened each race's official website for its name, city and next date. A race is listed only when its official site shows a half marathon in its current or most recent edition. Dates come from the official sites; where a site has not published the next date, the table shows the month of the last edition.

A certified half marathon course is accurately measured, so a time run on it is a true half marathon time. Certification codes and drops are facts from the USATF database (certifiedroadraces.com), which the USATF Road Running Technical Council maintains. Race directors can change courses, so confirm with the race before you build a season around one.
